I am disabled and unable to work and even though I am struggling I am still trying to make a difference in others lives by helping with donating clothes and household items I don't need any more and trying to get help to open a non profit, no kill animal shelter that will not only help the animals but can help the low income, disabled, elderly and even homeless keep their pets and to help cut down on the strays and over population of animals being thrown to the streets. I am also going to work the shelter to assist in theraputic programs to help with depression, autism and so on.

Hi my name is Erica I'm 23 and I have been taking care of my disabled mother for about a year now. It has been very hard and Im having trouble making ends meet. My moms best friend, her cat named JD has just had a surgery that was needed to save his life. I had to use all my rent money than some. JD despretly needs flea treatment. I took in a foster cat that was going to be put down and i think thats how he got them. Because everything happened at once I'm having trouble dealing with things financially. If anyone could help me with the cost of just one flea treatment that would help so much. They are getting in his wounds and He is wearing a cone collar and can get no relief.  What Is Animal Hoarding?

Animal hoarding is a complex and intricate public health and community issue. Its effects are far-reaching and encompass mental health, animal welfare and public safety concerns.

The following criteria are used to define animal hoarding:

    * More than the typical number of companion animals
    * Inability to provide even minimal standards of nutrition, sanitation, shelter and veterinary care, with this neglect often resulting in starvation, illness and death
    * Denial of the inability to provide this minimum care and the impact of that failure on the animals, the household and human occupants of the dwelling

We had a business and horse business until the market fell. Well things have been crashing down hill ever since.  

My husband broke his neck c2, c6, c7 and several other things. He lost his business and can't do what he used to, the Dr. says he is totally disabled but SS doen't agree. I have a bad back, surgery, lung surgery, ran through a glass door when I was young and disabled left leg, hand. I have been bipolar and ADHD now checking me for cancer and heart problems, so yes I stay depressed and pray that God will understand our needs and help us.

We have 36 horses, 10 dogs and 6 cats. We have been giving horses away to good homes, but I am disabled but working only 20 hours a week. Can't even pay electric with my 160.00 per week.

 I am looking for more work, but we have ran out of money and I have to feed the animals and live. If there is anyone out there that can help with feeding the animals or financial it would be God sent.

There are many people in our conditions and SS doesn't care, But my animals need to be fed until I find them homes, wwe have given away 22 now. But please help!

I have a 9 month old Black Lab who just went thru her first cycle, though we take care to walk her and keep a good eye on her she just recently went thru her first "cycle" and I notice her boobies look swollen, Is this part of the hormonal process or did somehow some stud jump the fence or something?

My husband and I need a place to go. The only thing is, we have animals. A dog, 2 cats and a load of ducks, 2 chickens, a goose and a peacock. Right now, we are in a place where it is made obvious we are not welcome, but we have no other options. We dont have a lot of money, but are not afraid to work in lieu of rent or if we can find work, we'll gladly pay. We work pimarily with horses, but will do anything and everything else!

Most tend to turn people away because they have animals, but then people compain about the growing stray animal population! Well, we are not the type to just dump our pets. We can and will live in very small or modest places. We just need a roof over our heads, and a place to keep our 'kids'.

Everywhere is so expensive. We really dont have a lot, but that may turn around very soon. However, we cant make time go faster than it does! Any help or constructive advice is welcome :)

Can anyone  help with rent / we did find a place after our house was forclosed on. My fiance is getting job they just keep telling him it will start soon. I just don't know what to do for the kids on Christmas. My young ones will be happy with candy my 14yr old is saying all her friends get stuff and she hates life cause we are poor right now. I am really worried cause we don't even have our rent money. I just lost my mom in sept. What is real life about it seems that it is all about money if you don't have it ur not important. WARNING: Before I tell you my situation, I want to warn anyone on here needing funds not to fall for scammers prowling these websites preying on needy people in financial distress. You may get an email from them saying they want to make a huge donation to you, but first, you have to cash a check they will send you, then wire some of it (as CASH) back to them via western union and keep the rest for yourself (the check MAY look authentic, but WILL in reality be a fraudulent check) Realize, ANY cash you send through western union will basically be untraceable because there will be a person on the receiving end with a fake ID to pick it up. They will collect the money and they...along with the monay....will disappear never to be seen again. YOU will then be responsible for the money the bank gave you when it is discovered the check YOU cashed is a fraud. I was the target of such a scam through the postal mail once and fortunately I am not stupid and knew it was a scam. I turned the letter and documentation over to the Postmaster General and the Mail Fraud division of the US government. This is ILLEGAL and a federal offense.

I have received numerous emails from people who apparently prowl Aidpage and other cyber begging sites. One such person wanted to 'donate' $950 to me and below is the content of the email from diana.littlefield@juno.com although these people have countless email addresses they change on an hourly basis no doubt, so you might receive one (or several) from a completely different email address.

 Trust me.....NO boys in need of heart transplants exist for the purpose of their letter...they are preying on your sympathy here. DO NOT fall for it or you WILL end up being responsible for the $1000's they are so willing to donate. Ask them to donate the money to you through Paypal or some other legal service. If they are indeed legitimate business owners as they state....it is not inconvenient nor impossible for them to donate by cash or credit card through paypal. And if they tell you "oh, there company does not have a Paypal account"....tell them they DON'T NEED one. All they have to do is fill in the info and use a credit card....they DO NOT have to set up a Paypal account. Thousands of people pay this way through Paypal without a Paypal account. also, ask yourself why they themselves cannot send a check to the 'orphanage' or whatever organization or fictitious person?? Why is it they need a middle man (you in this case) to cash a check for them and pay a TRANSACTION FEE on top of it???????? and THEN mail a portion of the money IN CASH THROUGH WESTERN UNION to the orphange home for them???? Hmmmmm....if it smells like a scam it most certainly is. So please PLEASE be wary. There are many unscrupulous people out there taking advantage of desperate people already in financial ruin. They are PREYING on your dire situation.

Now here is my story. PLease know 100% of any money you donate to our rescue is used for the animals.

 Due to losing my job (it was auto related and the Big 3 were major clients of the company) I am struggling to pay the bills (utilities etc) while still providing for all the animals in the rescue. They come first and unless I find another job soon, I may be forced to surrender them.

 There aren't any no-kill shelters here and I am afraid if they go to any other shelter, they will be put down. I also feed several feral and stray cats (who irresponsible people dump off here in the country) and now that it is winter, if they cannnot rely on me for food, I fear they may not make it through what is predicted to be a very bad winter.

 ALL donations will go to feeding the animals, any vet bills and helping to pay for the water, electricity and heat.

Hi i am in desperate need of help. I am losing my home due to ill health. I have no where to live, we are a family of three and one of us is disabled, we also have a few pets. We have asked the council if they can help us but for one reason or another they are not able to. I have been to so many different places and seen so many people but no one is able to help. We have been told that renting privately is the best thing we could do rite now, but we don't have any money for the rent in advance which is about £650.00 most places i've seen and also about £600,00 for the deposit. But i don't have it. We only have a few months to find our selves a place to live after that i don't know what will happen to us. Now it also seems most places are asking for a garantor but i don't have any family or friends who can be our garantor. I don't know what else to do everything i seem to try doesn't work and now there is no other things to try. I was born to Swedish landowners and grew up on a farm with both agriculture and stock. There I got my love for animals, an interest that I took up as a grown up. I now have one Persian cat and two motherless kittens that I stumbled over a year ago: - )

Since I came to Israel, I have returned to my profession. I now teach English and computer to 250 pre-schoolers in a private nursery school. I have a part time job and the Israeli salaries are only a fraction of Swedish incomes. Frugal living has become my second nature, by necessity. I try to make the best of what I have and not to drown in expenses: - )

I stayed here during wars as well as earthquakes, became a victim of crime in 2005 (escalated domestic violence), divorced in 2006 and re-invented my life completely - and to my satisfaction. I now live with my four children aged 9 to 18.

I have two elderly parents in Sweden, who take care of each other, and with whom I have weekly contact over the phone. (They still don't feel confident enough to use computers...: - )

My interests are: reading, writing, helping people, analyzing problems, trying to find solutions (part of my job as a teacher), organizing summer activities for children, visiting or going out with friends, caring for my cats, writing on the cat forums, going to the mall and having a nice lunch and reading a book, computers, internet surfing, learning new things all the time, cooking, frugal living, educating children, doing things with my children, organizing the house and daily life, budgeting.
